Madison Co., VA – VSP Confirms Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Rte 29
Madison Co., VA (April 17, 2024) – A motorcyclist has died as a result of a motor vehicle collision reported on Monday in Madison County. Authorities were called to the scene at around 5:20 p.m. on April 15.
According to the Virginia State Police, a motorcyclist was driving a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle on Route 29 when it collided with a 2012 Subaru Impreza near South Main Street. The Impreza was making a left turn at the intersection at the time of the accident. The Suzuki driver, identified as 48-year-old Lucio Weaver, was severely hurt. While being transported to a local hospital, he passed away from his injuries. The driver of the Subaru was transported to UVA Medical Center for treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
