Blaszkow Legal, PLLC is a well established civil litigation law firm, located off the I-395 corridor in northern Virginia. We practice law in the three jurisdictions that comprise the DMV region: Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. For forty years we have been proud to advocate on behalf of innocent victims of all types of accidental injuries. We handle primarily personal injury suits and insurance claims, but occasionally handle other civil litigation as well.
Blaszkow Legal is seeking highly motivated and qualified applicants who desire to work as a trial attorney. The ideal candidate will have 0-5 years of experience, be a self-starter, able to work with deadlines, and ready to step in as an advocate for injury clients. Membership in the Virginia Bar is required; membership in the Maryland and/or D.C. Bar(s) is an advantage. Proficiency in an area of law that is complementary to personal injury (e.g. workers compensation, social security disability) could also be a plus.

Responsibilities:
Actively review cases in pre-litigation, ensuring that medical records are being received and investigations are complete
Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, other staff members, etc.
Evaluate cases, including determining potential for resolution and need for litigation
Represent clients in circuit and general district court proceedings
Draft pleadings, discovery, motions
Negotiate settlements for clients
Administrative and other management functions related to the practice of law
Qualifications:
Virginia Bar admission required - other Bar admissions (DC and MD) helpful!
Familiarity with civil procedure
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
