Henry Co., VA – Man Killed in Car Crash on Route 220
Henry Co., VA (February 14, 2024) – The Virginia State Police confirmed that a 44-year-old man lost his life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Henry County on Monday morning, February 12.
At around 11:15 a.m., 44-year-old Joshua Brandon Vernon was driving southbound on Route 220 in a Toyota Camry. For reasons unknown, his vehicle collided with a Chrysler van. Vernon was severely hurt as a result of the crash. Despite medical efforts, he passed away from his injuries while still at the scene. The driver of the van, a 50-year-old woman, was injured. She was transported to an area hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
