Fairfax, VA – Two Hurt in Fairfax County Parkway Crash near Braddock Rd
Fairfax, VA (May 3, 2023) – The Fairfax County Police Department responded to the scene of an accident on Monday afternoon that left one person injured.
On May 1, authorities were notified that a crash took place on Fairfax County Parkway.
Reports from the police show that a Fairfax County police officer was conducting a traffic stop on the Parkway during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, a car traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into the vehicle that the police officer had stopped on the side of the road.
The police officer and the person inside the second vehicle both suffered injuries in the crash. The two victims were transported to area hospitals for further care.
The driver of the speeding vehicle remained at the scene and was uninjured.
The Fairfax County Police Department is investigating.
