Gloucester, VA – One Hurt in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 17 near Hayes Rd
Gloucester, VA (October 11, 2023) – One person was transported to a local hospital following an automobile accident that took place on Tuesday morning in Gloucester County.
At around 7:00 a.m. on October 10, the police assisted the Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue at the scene of an automobile accident that took place on Route 17.
Reports from authorities show that a white car and a silver car collided on the roadway near Haynes Road. The impact of the crash sent the white vehicle off the roadway where it came to rest in the grassy median. The second vehicle struck a sign on the side of the road.
Police and firefighters closed off a portion of the road as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris.
One person was injured as a result of the crash. Emergency personnel transported the victim to a local medical facility for emergency care.
The crash is currently being investigated.
