Nelson County, VA – Adam Blackwell Loses Life in Crash on Rockfish Gap Turnpike
Nelson County, VA (September 6, 2023) – A motorcycle accident reported in Nelson County claimed the life of a 40-year-old man from Crimora.
At around 3:00 p.m. on September 4, the police and firefighters responded to the scene of a crash on Rockfish Gap Turnpike.
According to officials, Adam Blackwell was riding a motorcycle in the 10,000 block of the roadway. For unknown reasons, a Subaru Crosstrek driver attempted to turn left in front of the motorcycle. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Blackwell suffered fatal injuries in the accident and died at the scene.
The Subaru driver, 72-year-old Daniel Six, remained at the scene. He was issued a citation for failure to yield.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
