Albemarle County, VA – Fatal Crash on Route 53 near Route 20 & Milton Rd Takes One Life
Albemarle County, VA (August 9, 2023) – One person lost their life as a result of an automobile accident that took place on Tuesday in Albemarle County.
At around 8:45 a.m. on August 8, emergency officials were called to the scene of a crash that occurred on Route 53.
Police reports indicate that a collision involving two vehicles occurred on the roadway as a result of a fallen tree. The incident prompted officials to close off Route 53 between Milton Road and Route 20 as they provided assistance.
One person was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. A second victim was transported to an area hospital, where they underwent emergency medical care.
The Albemarle County Police Department is actively investigating the crash.
