Adelphi, MD (July 15, 2026) – A motorcyclist and two people in another vehicle died late Tuesday night, July 14, in a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road, which shut down a major Prince George’s County roadway for hours.
The crash was reported around 11:25 p.m. The Prince George’s County Police Department said the collision involved a motorcycle and two other vehicles.
The motorcyclist and two occupants of the second vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.
New Hampshire Avenue was closed in both directions between Piney Branch Road and North Hampton Drive overnight as investigators worked to piece together what happened.
Investigators continue to examine what led to the accident.
