Henrico, VA – Retika Haider Killed in Crash on Wistar Rd, Child Hurt
Henrico, VA (August 21, 2024) – A fatal accident reported in Henrico claimed one woman’s life while leaving a second victim severely injured. The Henrico Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident just after 5:00 p.m. on August 19.
Official reports show that two vehicles collided in the 4000 block of Wistar Road. The involved vehicles, which were identified as a BMW and an Audi, were severely damaged due to the impact. At least one of the vehicles went off the side of the roadway and struck a sign. A 22-year-old woman involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries. She was pronounced deceased by authorities. Authorities later identified the victim as 22-year-old Retika Haider. A child involved in the accident was severely injured. The victim was rushed to an area hospital for emergency medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
